Types of Therapy
Here at Sal Rediscovery, we offer individual as well as group therapy. While each treatment plan is tailored exactly to the individual’s needs, essentially all will include individual therapy. Conducted in a safe, comfortable environment with an experienced therapist, you can feel free to say what you’re truly thinking, feeling, and going through.
In group therapy, you’ll be with those who are going through similar struggles to the ones you’re dealing with. In these sessions handled by an experienced moderator, you can connect to others with similar experiences, receive validation for what you’re going through, all while developing and strengthening social and coping skills that may have atrophied.
Cognitive Therapy
While each treatment plan differs, essentially all of them will utilize cognitive behavioral therapy. With this therapy, we’ll work with you on changing the thoughts and beliefs that may be holding you back from the life that you want. We’ll examine those, finding their underlying causes, and what’s driving them. In your sessions, we’ll help you to replace the negative thoughts and beliefs with positive, healthy ones that can empower you to manage your daily life.
Holistic Therapies
At Sal Rediscovery, we believe in taking a holistic approach. That means that we treat the entire person. Instead of just trying their physical body or their mind, we aim to treat the mind, their body, the entire person.
We offer many forms of talk therapy, yes, but there are plenty of forms of therapy that involve more physical activity, as well. Case in point: yoga therapy. Led by an experienced yogi, you can improve your physical health all while feeling good in a safe, controlled manner for your fitness level.
If you’re struggling with addiction and/or your mental health, you may find it difficult to express your thoughts and emotions fully. That’s just one of the many benefits of art therapy here at Sal Rediscovery. By examining, learning about, and creating art, you can learn more about yourself all while improving your own sense of self-worth, among other benefits.
Meditation, guided by our staff, can also help to reduce stress, depression, anxiety, and more. You may not be the right fit for each of these treatments, but, when you arrive, we’ll create a plan that includes all of the modalities that can best suit you.
Treatment Modalities for Your Level of Care
Whether you’re here for ambulatory detox, PHP, or IOP, your treatment plan will almost invariably include some form of therapy. Each of our programs are outpatient, yes, but each is both intensive and has a proven track record of success.
If you want to cleanse your body of dangerous toxins, you can do so through our outpatient detox program all while going home at night. PHP, our highest level of care, provides six to eight hours of treatment a day here onsite. IOP, on the other hand, is six to nine hours a week. Regardless of which is the best fit for you, when you’re here, you’ll receive intensive, effective treatment from our multidisciplinary staff.
