About Sal Rediscovery Center
Sal Rediscovery Center, under the direction of double board-certified physician Salisu Aikoye, MD, offers treatment and support. Located in Norwalk, California, Sal Rediscovery Center builds bridges between mental health and families.
After earning his medical degree at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and completing a psychiatry residency at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Nigeria, Dr. Salisu attended Central Michigan University, Saginaw, for a second psychiatry residency. He went on to undergo a psychiatry fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles with a special interest in global mental health.
Dr. Salisu offers treatment and a recovery program for opioids and other forms of substance abuse. As a psychiatrist, he listens to every patient and works well with diverse patient populations. He has years of experience working with veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Along with psychiatric support for substance use disorders, he also offers medications and medical interventions. Patients benefit from Suboxone® and VIVITROL®, which require medical management to work effectively. Patients and families struggling with substance use should call or use the online tool to set up an appointment at Sal Rediscovery Center to get compassionate, effective care.
